Composer Alexander Desplat (Girl with a Pearl earring, Tree of life, The king's speech, The ghost writer, Fantastic Mr.Fox) has been choosen to score the soundtrack of Emperor, Webber tweeted it, and later was pùblished on the internet

Girl with a Pearl Earring director Peter Webber‘s next film, Emperor has begun shooting and the latest reminder is undoubtedly a strong one — Webber has announced (via Twitter) that Alexandre Desplat will be scoring the film, serving as a reunion between the director and composer from Pearl Earring.

Starring Matthew Fox and Tommy Lee Jones, the historical drama — written by David Klass and Vera Blasi — is a love story about General Bonner Fellers, who must decide if Japan’s Emperor Hirohito should be hanged for his actions in World War II, all while searching for a lost flame. Emperor is expected to hit in 2013.

30 Enero -RODAJE: DIA UNO - SHOOTING: DAY ONE

Mr. Webber nos ha dejado un mensaje resumiendo el primer día de trabajo.

"Primer día muy bueno. El clima se comportó muy bien. Mantuvimos el horario. Actores y equipo funcionaron bien y hay un gran espíritu en el set".

Muy animado Mr. Webber llegaba al set por la mañana temprano.

26 de Enero - AGENDA DEL DIA / TODAY'S AGENDA

Por la mañana, Peter Webber, Matthew Fox y el resto del equipo asistió a la ceremonia de bienvenida Powhiri para bendecir la filmación. Por lo que nos contó Webber fue facinante y piensan volver para la filmación. Pero no se permitió capturar imágenes

This morning, Peter Webber, Matthew Fox and the rest of the team attended a Powhiri, a welcome ceremony to bless the shoot. He told us it was facinating and they think to come back for the shooting. Pics were forbiden.

La próxima parada fue en la zona industrial de Auckland donde están recreando la bombardeada Tokio del 45. El Mayor Grant ha hecho un trabajo increíble allí. Caos y devastación en las ruinas.
Mr. Webber reconoció que fue muy movilizante.

Next stop was off in the industrial area of Auckland where they are re-creating bombed outTokyo 45. Grant major has done amazing work there. Chaos and devastation in the ruins.

El asistió a los ensayos de la escena de baile, y esta está progresando muy bien.
Cuando le preguntamos qué clase de baile está aprendiendo Matthew el contestó "daggering". Y si no entendí mal, la escena va a ser muy corta.

He attended the rehearsal of the dancing scene, and it is progressing nicely.
When we asked him what kind of dance Matthew was learning he answered "daggering". And if I understood well, the scene will be very short.

También hubo practica de marcha militar al estilo Japonés y bajo la intensa lluvia que al parecer ha castigado Auckland todo el dia.

Hoy, como ya nos había anunciado Mr. Webber, habrían concluido los ensayos con Foxy.

Today, as Mr. Webber had announced before, rehearsals with Foxy had concluded.

Ante mi pregunta de si Matthew quedaba libre ahora, Webber contestó que no porque estaría muy ocupado aprendiendo Japonés, lecciones de baile, entrenamiento militar y cambios en los libretos.

24 Enero - INFO TECNICA DEL RODAJE/SHOOTING TECH INFO

Hoy Mr. Webber nos ha facilitado información sobre como se va a filmar Emperor:

24 de Enero - FINAL PRODUCTION MEETING

Ayer se produjo la última reunión de producción y por fin, como resultado, el libreto quedó terminado.

Yesterday, the final production meeting had placed and the latest script was issued.

También supimos que hubo nuevos ensayos con Foxy incluido en marchas de soldados. Pero no recibimos fotos al respecto.

We also knew that there were new rehearsals, including Foxy in more boot camp. We didn't got pics this time

23 Enero - EL DÍA 30 DE ENERO COMENZARÁ LA FILMACIÓN/ JANUARY 30th WILL START SHOOTING

Mr.Webber, como siempre manteniéndonos al corriente, nos informa de que el próximo día 30 comienza la filmación de Emperor

23 Enero - POR FIN FOTO DE MATT EN EL SET!!! /FINALLY MATT ON THE SET!!!

El Sr. Peter Webber ha cumplido con su promesa de facilitarnos una foto de Matt en el set. Generoso a mas no poder, y pidiendo disculpas por no poder mostrarnos mas de él, nos envió esta imagen de Matt luciendo su uniforme de General de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
